For this project I was asked to cost reduce an existing product line called Wiggimals. These ball shaped animals have to house a devise that vibrates and plays a song.
To reduce production cost by one dollar I choose to use printed fabric that is sewn like a baseball, so only two pieces are needed. I also changed the extremities to ribbons or other bits of fabric to make sewing faster and further cut down on cost.
Below are the various patterns used to create the printed animal fabric. Because there is a loss of physical texture due to the printing, the patternes need to convay a visual texture.
